Distance Training

Dr. Puven from Australia has written to me as to what to do with people away at long distances and what are the strategies to train them. Good question. In fact in DXN business many of our business partners are far away from where we live. Still they have to perform. That only gives them income and for us as well. Therefore taking care of them is of paramount importance. To make them perform, what is required?  

1. Tools 
2. Usage of tools (training) 
3. Coaching (doing this differently and better) 
4. Knowledge

And so on….. Are you ready for a story?

Training 
There was a master. He had a beautiful garden with plenty of flowers of different colors, small plants, big plants etc. 


He loved to water them every day. He took care of them as much as he would himself. He also had three good looking, vibrant and energetic monkeys. As much as he loved his plants so did he love them. They reciprocated his love and never left their master. They were ready to do anything at his bidding. As they were always with him, he trained them to do certain of his jobs. One of the jobs was watering the plants. As he poured water to the plants the 3 monkeys also did the same. He took care to see that the monkeys poured water exactly the way he was doing. He never let a moment go without watching them water the plants so that nothing went wrong. That much was his love for the plants. 

One day he had to go to away to attend a function. He was worried as to who would water the plants. Seeing his worry the monkeys told him, “Don’t worry master we will water the plants as we have been trained to do so. After all we have to pour water! That we have been doing and you have seen that. Go happily; enjoy and rest. We will do the best”. Looking at their confidence the master told them, “Ok guys be careful. I know you water the plants well. However take care to pour more water for plants with long roots and less water to those with small roots. Keep that in mind”. Monkeys said with enthusiasm, “Master what you think of us. We will take care”. He was happy and left with peace of mind.


A week later he returned and rushed to see the plants. To his horror he found all the plants had been rooted out. He lost his temper. Called the monkeys as to what had happened. The monkeys explained thus, “Master we watered plants as you told. But you warned us to pour more water to the ones with long roots and less to the ones with short roots. We did not know which of those plants had long roots and the ones with short roots. In order to know we simply removed them, but did not know how to put them back. You can do that now”. Innocently they told him. All the plants had been lost. It will take years to rebuild.

What is the moral of the story? 

1. Confidence without clarity is a sure disaster. Many of us are very confident of achieving big things but we lack clarity when met with a situation. This will certainly result in the customer turning his back. 

2. Clarity without confidence will take us nowhere. We may have all the knowledge on earth; but if we are not confident we can never convince a customer

3.  Stay close to the team until they can take care of themselves

4. Staying close means not by distance but by continuous communication where ever they are in the world. Many a time we recruit and leave them after the first meeting, thinking that they will do the best. It doesn’t happen that way. 

5. Follow up at regular intervals – weekly, monthly etc.

6. Update their knowledge through a system called CBE. This is known as CONTINUING BUSINESS EDUCATION. This system is followed in medical colleges as Continuing Medical Education. We need to do the same in business as well.

7. Improve your own knowledge. Take the help of any one in the network irrespective of team affiliations. There is nothing to feel shy about. We are all one DXN family team. Knowledge where ever available; grab it; share it with your people and pass on. That alone will bring success.

Today a person working for a foreign currency change agency met me. Within 15 minutes of our being together, he got more than 10 mobile calls. When I pitied him he told me, “Sir with so many calls my blood pressure is just jumping. I am only 29 years old. If I don’t attend calls I will simply lose my business. I am fed up. Many people we come across daily either are happy or vibrant or moody or sorrowful or dejected or pensive all the time. It’s not because of their vocation. It’s because of the choice they have made. No one can force anyone to choose a line of function. It’s an individual’s choice.

All those who are Happy, Healthy and Wealthy are so because of the choice they have made in their vocation. Then there is a need to explore MULTIPLE CHOICES available to every one of us.

3 Track Strategies for 3 “C”s in Business


After an address in a meeting a person told me that he was convinced of the products and ready to consume but was not ready to do it as a business. I told him ‘fair enough’. For simply to consume he has to take a track in DXN called HT i.e. HEALTH TRACK.

In that track he can consume any DXN products without even becoming a member. He was very happy and bought some products paying full retail price. 

A few days later he came and told me, ‘Sir I am happy with the results. But then you said in that meeting that the products will be available at a discounted price. How do I get that?’ I told him for that he should become a member under a person who has introduced him to DXN.
 
A few days later he came and said, ‘Sir you said in the meeting that I will get some bonus from the company but nothing had come even after becoming a member. I told him that to get bonus from company he has to change the track from HT to IT i.e. INCOME TRACK. In that track he has to do in his own membership number a minimum purchase of 1000 PV. This may differ in different countries depending upon their respective currency. Then he will get bonus. If he recommends some people to consume the product and they buy either in his number or become member under his ID then he will get more bonus. When more such people grow under him his own bonus will swell and obviously what he consumes may become free when bonus overshoots his own purchase. He was very happy.

A month later he came again and said ‘Sir I recruited some people, they were also happy with the products and I got a fairly good sum from the company. But you said one can come for a foreign trip, buy car, home etc. How will I get them?’

I told him, for that,

“you have to change the track from IT to WT i.e. WEALTH TRACK. In that track you have to do a minimum of 1000 PV in your own ID and 2000 PV from your members or 3000 PV in your own number. Once you steadfastly go ahead promoting then you will get all and more. DXN plan has potential to make you wealthy. But it is you who have to leverage the DXN plan to get the benefits. Many across the globe have done so and you are not an exception. All you need to do is,
Continue to consume, continue to recommend

Now consider those who take different tracks
HT – Health Track – Consumer
IT – Income Track – Customer
WT – Wealth Track – Client

Anyone starts in the HT track is always healthy for our business also. If he is convinced of the products’ efficacy he will have a mind to promote to others. At this stage he is only a Consumer. It is up to us to develop him as a Customer and then as a Client. Once he is a Client and he has more Clients in his team he will stay. More and more people stay, your business will stay and your income will become Perennial.

Not all HTs will grow as ITs and not all ITs will become WTs. But it is in us to make them realize the benefits of DXN products and the plan. However if you try sincerely then many will become ITs and a significant number will become WTs.

DXN is a pressure free company. It offers benefits to everyone irrespective of the track one chooses. But you must be a master in making them realize the benefits of changing to the higher track that is WT. For that you need to update your own skills.
