Training Lesson 13 : That Which Sustains For Long

Hence for Sustained Success, or even in the face of temporary setbacks (not failure), mere Motivation does not help. As we discussed earlier, the purpose of motivation is to move and movement is by muscles. Question arises as to what makes muscles move. It’s the stimulus that makes the Muscles to move. Where do we get such a stimulus? It’s thru the Nerves. What triggers the nerves? It’s the Mind. So for any Action of the body three elements are involved.

That’s why it’s said,
AS THE MIND SO THE THOUGHT
AS THE THOUGHT SO THE ACTION

Therefore for the Action to be continuous, muscles must not rest; nerves must not rest. They will, by nature rest. But if the Mind is active all the time, they will never rest. And therefore if the Action has to be continuous Mind must be FIRED.

WHAT CAN FIRE THE MIND?
It’s not Motivation but INSPIRATION.  An Inspired Mind never rests. For Sustained Performance Mind has to be on Fire all the time.
It looks like Motivation & Inspiration are the same”
No. They are different.
Go thru the slide below. You will understand that while Motivation is Result Related, Inspiration is Task Related. Any activity that’s Task Related doesn’t bother about Results. When Positive Result comes the Mind enjoys. When the Negative Result comes it doesn’t go into a shell. It analyses as to

WHAT WENT WRONG &
WHAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED

When Results are Positive, not only does it enjoy but works on the task ahead so that Sustained Results are maintained. Whereas Motivation, since it is Result related, the moment Positive Results are achieved it gets Satiated and Tired and to get back to ACTION it requires one more Stimulus.
However since Inspiration is Task Related, it is Unsatiated and goes ahead with its job towards Perfection.

Friends,

Now we know it’s not Motivation the does
the magic
It’s INSPIRATION that’s
behind every
SUSTAINED SUCCESS

Want to know what Inspires then?

GANODERMA – AN OVERVIEW

SECRET OF LIVING LONG & STRATEGY
FOR HEALTHY LIFE

From time immemorial, battle between diseases causing bacteria and humans has been on. Fortunately nature has provided us with inherent defense mechanisms to fight such harmful organisms. But together with bacteria, environment also started waging war against us with pollution. Food we eat, water we drink, air we breathe which provide nutrition and oxygen for our body cells (we are a bundle of cells) are also polluted and stuffed with toxins. What starts as a symptom, escalates into diseases and when toxins get anchored in tissues and organs they become chronic and captive. Even for normal functions of our organs we become dependent on chemical medicines. They have lots of side effects. Body, over a period of time gets immuned to drugs, so that the same dose and drugs do not give desired results and lead us to become dependent on them. We get caught in the whirlpool of medicines. This is when nature provides with abundance of opportunity to overcome such dependency. Mushrooms play a very major role in improving our immune system.

There are more than 38000 varieties of mushrooms. Among them Reishi or Ganoderma mushrooms have been found to be having hundreds of active elements exerting lots of beneficial actions in the body.
Some of the bodily benefits due to the ingredients are:
1. Help in maintaining homeostasis
2. Improve oxygen carrying capacity
3. Regeneration of cells
4. Regulation of Respiratory, Digestive and Sleep Cycles

Clinically many testimonials all over the world are available with good results:
1. Maintain / reduce blood sugar levels
2. Reduce LDL cholesterol & Triglycerides
3. Improvement in relieving Psoriatic patches
4. Increase in hemoglobin levels
5. Relief of Asthmatic bouts
6. Reduction of pain in Arthritic patients
7. Relief of Poly Cysts in ovaries
8. Regulation of Respiratory, Digestive and Sleep Cycles
9. Beneficial effects in various forms of cancer
10.Relief in Migraine attacks
11.Relief from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

Scores of research articles which corroborate the effectiveness of Ganoderma are available when perused in literature. However, it’s not a replacement for any medicine. It’s an integrated approach to get qualitative results.

DXN Malaysia is the No 1 company that makes Ganoderma in the form of capsules. From basic manufacturing to distribution, the company is involved to ensure quality.

Two types of capsules, RG (Reishi Gano) & GL (Ganocelium) are made from the Fruit and Root portions. Both are to be consumed daily for at least a month to get tangible results. One RG/GL per day costs just Rs 600/- a month (RM36) for a healthy person. Training Lesson 12 : Why Motivation Is Required But Will Not Sustain

Sir, in the previous blog you wrote that Motivation does not get results. Now you are totally reversing saying motivation is required. It’s confusing”.

Read ahead.

E G F
For a family to run, a certain determinant is essential. That’s known as “E G F”. That’s Economic Growth Factor. The economy, well being, standard of living and financial strength of a family is dependent on 5 income patterns.

People in the first two segments are mostly employees or self employed professionals like doctors, lawyers, auditors etc. The ones in the next two segments are people who are in business.

Income & T T E
Any income is generated because of one’s T T E - Time he allocates, Talent he possesses and Efforts he employs. While an individual has limitations of his T T E, a businessman derives T T E of all employees. An individual how so ever talented he may be will retire one day from his job and concurrently his income also will slide. A businessman, because he harnesses the T T E of others can earn faster than his individual employees. Even after a bunch of employees retire also his income never comes down as a new set of employees take over and they come with new talents. Sustained income is a major benefit for a businessman.

Motivation is Result Related
If you look at an employee or a businessman, all of them are running towards a certain result. As soon as the targeted result has been achieved, a new stimulus is required to get fresh motivation. In the absence of fresh stimuli, motivation fuses. As people’s motivation fuses, the motivator also fuses. That’s why Motivation is a double edged sword. It can hit both the Motivator and the Motivated.

The reason why Motivation loses its elasticity is it's Result Related. Any activity that is Result Related will lose its potency as soon as the result has been achieved. Hence in business Motivation may give results, but that will not sustain for long.

Motivation & E G F
Having said all the above, to achieve E G F for a family, be he an employee or self employed or a businessman, motivation is necessary as it is result related. A motivated person will certainly achieve some results and that will bring economic benefits to the family.

Perennial Income (non drying income)
The last segment above is what one should aim at in economic life. For that mere Motivation will not work. But a different model can certainly make a person achieve Perennial income for his family. That will totally alter his outlook of activity.

Friends,
I know what you are asking….
What is that which will change the outlook of activity?

Training Lesson 11 : Motivation Does Not Get Results

Recently I was asked to talk on Motivation in a seminar. I told the organizers that Motivation doesn’t get Results. They were taken aback. I explained.

Motivation
The purpose of Motivation is to make you move. If you dissect Motivation it will look like this,
       MOTIVE + ACTION
For every Action there is a Motive. It’s the Motive that triggers an Action. It’s the hunger that makes you eat. As soon as the Motive finishes its role, Action stops. For further action again, a new Motive is required. When MOTIVES get exhausted ACTION retires. Inventing new motives become necessary to trigger action. Until new motives are found there will be no action or the person who acts will go either into a slumber or get back to his previous action.

Crying Child
The child at home was continuously crying. The mother gave the child a toy and the child stopped crying. A few minutes later the child started crying again. Why? The toy which was curious at first had lost its value within a few minutes and the child needed something else to stop crying. As soon as the child was given something new and interesting, it stopped crying but after a while, after that curious material had gotten on the mind of the child, the child went back to its original slumber or previous action of crying.

This is exactly what happens to Motivation also. As soon as a person who desires to get something which he did not have – or others had – it motivated him to achieve that. But as soon as it has been acquired he doesn’t even look back towards that and goes back to his previous position.

It’s like this, when you wanted to buy a new dress, it was fascinating until you bought it. You wore it frequently and after a few days, it lost its value.

You bought a new car. There was a great celebration at home. You wanted to give a ride to everyone in the new curious car very frequently. You cleaned it 2 times a day. After a few days, you did not even clean the car once in 3 days.

The lady at home who bought the new diamond ear stud was fascinated with her new found curious material in the ear. She checked herself ten times in the mirror while wearing it. She wanted everyone in the function to see that new diamond ear stud and appreciate it. After a few days, only when someone pointed it out she became conscious of her curious diamond ear stud.

Coming to Motivation whether it is a child or an adult the behavior of the mind is the same. Motivation doesn’t last long.

Motivation is moving muscles
Muscles by nature contract & relax
When contraction takes place there is Action
But it’s followed by Relaxation leading
to No Action
Long term No Action leads to fatigue
Chronic Fatigue leads to De Motivation

Friends,
Motivation is a double edged sword
At one end it will hit the Motivated
At the other end it will hit the Motivator also

Then what to do?

Training Lesson 10 : People Inventing Alibis

Some of the commonest comments people make are,

Sir I’m trying my best, but nobody joins”

Sir I don’t know what is the problem with people – nobody is interested in their health”

Sir it’s not like those days when you joined.
You are all lucky”

All these are invented by minds who take comfort in such alibis for failure. Success is not the fruit that is simply hanging in any tree for anyone to pluck and eat. Each has to sow his own seed, nurture with proper materials, watch it grow and then only enjoy the fruits.

Soil is the same that helps grow the tree. So it is in the hands of the tiller to develop, prepare, nurture and grow. The Meaning is you need to empower yourself to perform. There is something blocking between the cup and the lip. Identify the block. It’s no use blaming all others except yourself for failure.

Clay becomes Image

All know that the cost of clay is just 5 cents. A person saw in that clay a tremendous business opportunity. So he simply used his hands and made a nice looking beautiful image and sold it for 2 Dollars.

Another guy made the image and painted it with multi colors and sold the same material for 10 Dollars. Another great skilled guy dressed it with colorful cloth and sold it for 25 Dollars. Some other superman made a nice image out of the same 5 cent clay, colored it, clothed it, put that in a glass case and kept it in a 5 Star Hotel and sold it for 100 Dollars. Yet another made it a little dull looking, showcased it in glass and sold it for 200 Dollars as a very rare antique piece.

What do we learn from this? Clay is the same. The only difference is the Mind and Hands that work on the clay. When everyone was just kicking the clay someone saw an opportunity in the same material. Unless you assume that every person next to you is clay (I'm not trying to belittle anyone by saying he is clay – I just want to use it as an analogy to bring home understanding and not to offend anyone) and he throws open an opportunity for you to succeed and it is in your hands to make an image out of him, you will keep on finding alibis only. Opportunity is just next to you. Are you skilled enough to convert that into cash, is the only question you have to pose to yourself?

Mind Tuning

Tune your mind into looking everything as an opportunity. Never succumb to negative thoughts. That will become a habit later on. Once you fail, it doesn’t mean you will fail always. Once you fail 10 times that doesn’t mean you will fail the 11th time. It is just that the clay didn’t become the image. That’s all. Use either the same clay or find new clays. They are plenty in this world. Your Mind must be tuned only to creating images and improvising that.

Friends,

Superiority of a Product is in the Hands of the owner

The talented owner sees only ways to succeed

He has no time to invent alibis.
